Here are some weekly (and FYI = few times a week) news broadcasts
available to you free from AIP and APS:

All of them subscribe by sending a message with no subject and with a
body saying something like add or subscribe and then the name of the
newsletter.  They give instructions for unsubscribing as soon as you
subscribe (usually unsubscribe or delete).
