The Second Meeting of the East Bay Physics Alliance will be held on

		Thursday March 23, 1995
		7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Coffee begins at 6:30 PM)
		Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory
		88" Cyclotron Building

Topics:

	Discovery of the Top Quark- A first hand account.

	Physics on the Internet - How it can help you learn about anything
				  from quarks to quasars.  How to access 
                                  teaching material.

	Tour of the 88" Cyclotron and Gammasphere.  Gammasphere is one of
				   the world's most sensitive instruments
				   to probe nuclear structure.
				
Be sure to bring your show and tell.

We do not have a complete mailing list, so please tell you colleagues
about this meeting.

All are welcome. There is no admission fee.

The East Bay Physics Alliance is an informal group that has recently
formed to foster communication between physics teachers in high schools 
and colleges, and physics researchers in national labs and industry.

Directions to Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Berkeley, California:

from I-80:

Take the University Avenue exit in Berkeley.  Proceed east on University Avenue
until you reach UC Berkeley.  Turn left on Oxford.  Make the next right on
Hearst.  Proceed east (up the hill) on Heast.  Hearst becomes Cyclotron Road. 
Stop at the guard gate.  Mention the password "88" Cyclotron" and you
will receive directions to the meeting.             

from Highway 24 (west bound):

Take the Telegraph Avenue exit to Berkeley (Northbound).  Take Telegraph to
Ashby Avenue (Highway 13).  Make a left on Ashby to Shattuck.  Make a right on
Shattuck. Take Shattuck for about a mile.  After Shattuck becomes one way, make
a right on University.  Go about two short blocks to Oxford. Turn left on
Oxford.Make the next right on Hearst.  Proceed east (up the hill) on Heast. 
Hearst becomes Cyclotron Road.  Stop at the guard gate.  Mention the
password "88" Cyclotron" and you will receive directions to the meeting.
